Terms
Parties and acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Unaided, a sole proprietorship, trading as Unaided, of Villa 119, The Empyrean, Near Chikkathiruparthi Temple, Malur, Karnataka 563160 (“Unaided”, “we”). By creating an account or using Unaided you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund and cancellation policy. If you don’t accept them, don’t use Unaided. These documents are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and need no signature.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. Unaided is not for children. We may ask you to confirm your age, and we close accounts that belong to anyone under 18. You must give accurate information and use only your own account.
Your account and Google sign-in
You sign in with an email link or with Google. You are responsible for your email account and for what happens under your account. Keep sign-in links private, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. We never ask for your Google password. One person, one account.
What Unaided is
Unaided gives you a practice plan for technical interviews: timed blocks, in-app problems with a code runner and hidden tests, framework, database and system-design exercises, mock interviews with a partner, and insights on your progress. It marks each finished block as verified, witnessed or self-reported, and the Privacy Policy explains how. If you connect GitHub, a GitHub App checks that a commit you submit was written by you during the block.
Passes
Passes are bought in advance and cover whole calendar days, ending at midnight your time. A day pass is one flat price, shown before every purchase. The 15-day and 1-month passes don’t change price either. Prices are in Indian rupees. We aren’t registered for GST, so no GST is charged. Your first day is free when a friend invited you, once per account. Day passes aren’t refundable. A 15-day or 1-month pass can be cancelled within 48 hours of buying: the days after the day you cancel are refunded pro rata to the amount you paid, to your original payment method. Upgrading from a day pass to a fixed pass credits that day’s day pass. Every stack you pick is covered by the one flat price, at no extra cost. The full rules are in the Refund and cancellation policy.
Pricing
The price in your checkout quote is the price you pay for that purchase; we show it, and whether tax is included, before you pay. One flat price covers every stack you pick. We may change prices for future purchases, and a change never alters a pass you have already bought.
Payments and taxes
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. A pass starts once Razorpay confirms your payment. All prices are in Indian rupees; your bank may convert at checkout and may charge its own fees.
Free days and credits
A free day can come from a friend’s referral or from a bug report. Credits are free day passes: they have no cash value, can’t be sold, exchanged, transferred or redeemed for money, and apply only to your account. We don’t set an expiry on a credit you have earned, but we may withdraw an unused credit if it was earned through abuse, and we end them with the account. Bug rewards are given only when we confirm a real bug, only to the first person to report it, and no more than 3 a month. We decide what counts as a real bug.
Refunds
Refunds follow the Refund and cancellation policy exactly: the first day and day passes are not refundable; a 15-day or 1-month pass can be cancelled within 48 hours of buying for a pro-rata refund; and a payment that fails, is taken twice or can’t be applied to your account is refunded in full. Nothing in these Terms changes that policy.
Acceptable use and academic integrity
Unaided only means something if the results are honest. You agree not to: fake or try to fake verification of a block; use scripts, bots, browser extensions or any automation to type, answer, submit, or take screenshots for you; get round paste, drop, copy or cut blocking, or the editor-burst detection, by any means; share, publish or sell hidden tests, reference solutions, problem statements or our curriculum; confirm a mock you did not watch live, or arrange with another account to confirm each other’s mocks; create several accounts to get free days or witness confirmations; attack, probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service or the code runner; upload unlawful content or someone else’s personal data; or help anyone else do any of this.
What happens if you break the rules
We may, depending on how serious it is: mark a block as self-reported or lower its tier; remove a credit or witness confirmation; limit a feature; suspend or terminate your account; and refuse future accounts. For fraud or abuse, termination is without refund. We will tell you why, where we can lawfully do so, and you can ask for a human review by writing to us.
Your content
Your code, answers, notes, insights, evidence and bug-report screenshots stay yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, run, check and display them only as needed to operate Unaided for you, to keep it secure and to meet the law, and for nothing else. The licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, apart from backups that expire on the schedule in the Privacy Policy. You promise you have the right to submit what you submit. Don’t put anyone else’s personal data or your passwords in it.
Our content and intellectual property
The curriculum — hints, steps, completion tests — is ours. Use it for your own preparation; don’t republish it. That includes the problems and their statements. Unaided, its name, logo, software, design and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own preparation. No other rights are granted.
AI features
Some checks may use an automated or AI-assisted grader where we have switched one on. Such output can be wrong. It is used to help us check work, never alone to suspend an account or refuse a refund, and you can ask for a human review.
Bug reports
If you report a bug, you may get a free day pass. Only the first report of a real bug earns it, no more than 3 a month, and we decide what counts as a real bug. Duplicates, spam and repeated or made-up reports don’t earn one, and we may refuse to accept reports from an account that abuses this. Don’t put anyone else’s personal data or your passwords in a report or a screenshot.
Third-party services
Unaided relies on others: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email), Razorpay (payments), Google (sign-in), GitHub (commit checks, if you connect it), Zoho (our support mailbox) and Sentry (error reports). Their own terms apply to what they do, and we are not responsible for their acts or outages beyond what the law requires of us.
Availability
We try to keep Unaided running but don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. We may change, pause or retire a feature, with notice where it matters. A planned change never takes away days you have already paid for.
No promises about outcomes
We can’t promise you’ll pass, get an interview or get a job. We can promise the numbers are honest: Unaided reports what it detects, not what it can prove. It records signals such as pasted text, tab switches and focus loss during an attempt, and shows your score with the tier it earned. A signal can be wrong, and it is not a verdict. Your results are private by default: nothing about a failed or flagged attempt is shown to anyone unless you choose to share it. Interviews depend on many things we don’t control.
Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Unaided is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we disclaim all warranties not stated here, including fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that can’t be waived.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about Unaided is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of profit, opportunity, data or goodwill. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.
Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for loss, claims and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of Unaided, or content you submit that infringes someone’s rights, to the extent the law allows.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Unaided and delete your account from Settings at any time; the Refund and cancellation policy decides any refund, and a 15-day or 1-month pass still inside its 48-hour window should be cancelled for the refund before you delete, because deleting does not refund it. A first-day price or free first day already used stays used if you sign up again with the same email. We can suspend or end your account for breach of these Terms, for unlawful use, or if the law requires. If we end your account other than for your breach, we will refund the unused part of a fixed pass pro rata. Clauses that by their nature should survive (content licence, our IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) do.
Changes to these Terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll email you first, and the version and date at the top will change. If you keep using Unaided after the change takes effect you accept it. If you don’t, you can stop and delete your account; changes never reduce what you have already paid for.
Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to approach a consumer commission, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
Grievance redressal
As required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, our Grievance Officer is Siddhartha Pal, grievance@unaided.app. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month. You can also write to us at support@unaided.app.

General
If a part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund and cancellation policy are the entire agreement between us about Unaided. You can’t assign your rights; we may assign ours to a successor of the business. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disaster, outage of power, network or hosting, a payment-network failure, or government action. We give notice by email to the address on your account, or by a notice in the app; you give notice by writing to support@unaided.app.
