Frequently asked questions
How Unaided works: coding interview practice without AI, timed DSA practice, mock coding tests, system design practice, the languages supported, and whether the credential is verifiable.
- Is this coding interview practice without AI?
- Yes. Unaided is coding interview practice with no AI spotter and no autocomplete doing the thinking for you. Hints unlock on the clock — three per problem, at 8, 15 and 20 minutes — and never hand you the solution. Your code is checked by a real runner against hidden tests, so a solve only counts when it actually passes. The point is that the gains you walk in with are yours.
- What languages and stacks can I practice in?
- Timed DSA practice and mock coding tests run in Java, Node / JavaScript, Python, React and Go. Upload your resume and Unaided detects your stack and builds a day-by-day plan around it; you can pick up to a few stacks and the price stays flat.
- How does timed practice and distraction detection work?
- Every problem is capped at 25 minutes. The clock only counts while you are actually working — step away or close the lid and it pauses, so breaks are recorded but never counted. Pastes, tab switches and sudden insertions are detected and recorded for you, with no webcam and no screen recording. At 25 minutes you stop, read the solution, close it, and re-implement from scratch.
- Do you cover system design practice too?
- Yes. System design practice is scored with objective probes rather than a vague vibe check: your design is tested against concrete requirements — scale, failure, data model and trade-offs — so you get a signal you can act on, not just applause.
- Is the Unaided credential verifiable?
- Yes. Your Unaided Score counts only machine-checked and partner-witnessed work — self-reported practice never inflates it. The published credential lives at a public /u/handle, carries an HMAC-signed snapshot, and is recomputed live, so a screenshot that was edited after the fact diverges from the verified page. It is private by default: nothing is public unless you choose to share it.
- What does a mock coding interview cost?
- Pay for the days you show up for. A day pass is a flat ₹299, a 1-month pass is ₹899, and a 3-month pass is ₹2,199 — one flat price whatever stacks you pick, GST included. There is no AI add-on and no per-stack surcharge; you see the exact price before you pay.
- How do I sign in, and do I need an account to try it?
- Sign-in is a magic link — enter your email and click the link, or use Google. You can try one real interview problem, timed, with no account at all, and see what interviewers will ask you from a free resume check before you commit to a pass.
- Does a rep count if I just brute-force it?
- No rep counts without the insight: one sentence in your own words before a problem is banked, plus twenty characters of evidence before a block completes. A brute-forced solve is marked solved but not optimal, so the credential can tell the difference between "it ran" and "you understood it".
